There is a second beach located on the northern side of the island. It is not visited often. The waves are stronger at this beach. There are lots of interesting coral and shells that wash up on the beach.

Other attraction on the are the salt ponds. The Garcia family produces salt on island. You’ll find the ruins of a lighthouse that was built when the dictator Trujillo was in power.
