The Monte Cristi Mangrove Forest and Natural Pools tour is a very informative guided. It takes you through the mangrove forest in the Monte Cristi National Park. Some of the birds you’ll likely see among the red mangrove trees. are Great Blue herons, Great Egrets, and Roseate Spoonbills flying overhead.
Then you’ll arrive at the natural swimming pools where you’ll find the oat flake-like sand that is perfect for exfoliating your skin. After spending time in the natural pools, you’ll leave the mangrove forest and continue on by sea to Isla Cabra.
Just before you arrive at Isla Cabra, you’ll pass over the Pipe Shipwreck. The Pipe Shipwreck rest about 100 m of the coast of Isla Cabra. You can see the remnants of the wreck from you boat when the ocean is clear.
Finally, at Isla Cabra you can spend time exploring the island, relaxing on the beach, snorkeling or swimming. The island is a perfect place to have a picnic before returning to the main land.
